before the first use

Three things,
then you're off.

Charge it fully

First charge takes about two hours. The light turns solid when it's done. A full charge covers roughly two weeks of use.

Rinse the chamber

Fill with clean water, run one short cycle, empty. Ten seconds, and it's ready for your first serum.

Start with clean skin

No makeup, no SPF, no other products, just washed and dry. Anything on the surface gets in the way of the mist.

the 60 seconds

Fill. Glide.
Done.

Fill & power on

Open the chamber, pour your serum up to the fill line, close it and press once. The light goes green when the mist is ready.

Don't overfill, it leaks instead of atomising.

Glide & infuse

Hold it a couple of centimetres from clean, dry skin and keep moving. Cheeks, forehead, jawline, neck. Slow, continuous passes.

Keep it moving. Stopping in one spot just wastes serum.

Absorb & glow

Let it settle for a minute. Nothing to rinse, nothing to wipe. Follow with moisturiser if you use one, and sunscreen in the morning.

Skin looks damp for a minute or two. That's the point.

how often

One serum per session.
The week is yours.

The chamber holds one formula at a time, so you alternate across the week rather than layering in a single pass.

something off?

Quick fixes
that usually work.

The mist is weak, or there's no mist at all.

Start with the charge. The mist weakens noticeably before the battery gives out completely, so put it on for a while and try again. If that's not it, rinse the nozzle: fill the chamber with clean water, run two short cycles and empty it. That clears most cases. If it's still weak, use the cleaning needle included in your box to gently clear the nozzle, then run one more water cycle before going back to serum. Still nothing after all that? Get in touch and we'll take it from there.

It won't turn on

Leave it on charge for at least fifteen minutes before assuming anything. A fully flat battery won't respond to the button straight away. Check that the light comes on when you plug it in, and if it doesn't, try a different cable and adapter first. If it still won't wake up after a full charge, send us a message with your order number and we'll look into it with you.

Serum is leaking from the chamber

Usually it's simply too full. Leave a little space at the top rather than filling right to the brim with nowhere to go, the excess works its way out instead of turning into mist. The other common cause is the chamber not being fully closed: open it, check the seal is sitting flat with nothing caught underneath, and close it firmly. Wipe the outside dry before your next session.

My skin feels tight or looks red afterwards

A little tightness or a flush for ten to fifteen minutes after a session is normal, you've just delivered actives deeper than your skin is used to. If it lasts longer than that, or happens every time, drop the frequency and give yourself a couple of days off before going again. Retinol is the most active formula in the range, so keep it to two or three nights a week and never two nights running. If the irritation doesn't settle, pause and get in touch with us or your dermatologist.

Can I use a serum that isn't SOONÉA?

No. The device is engineered around a specific range of water-based, low-viscosity formulations, and our serums are made to sit inside it. Anything thicker, oils, gels, cream textures, formulas with suspended particles, won't atomise properly and will clog the nozzle. Clogging or damage caused by third-party products isn't covered by the warranty.

How do I know when a bottle is finished?

The bottles are translucent, so you'll see it coming well before you run out. When you're getting low, reorder a single refill or build a bundle from the serums page. Most people keep a spare of whichever serum they use most, so there's no gap in the routine.
